Devereux, East London BCom Honours students from Walter Sisulu University (WSU) wrapped up a two-day Rewrite Retreat in Devereux, signifying an inspiring and productive milestone in their academic journey. The session focused on strengthening research papers ahead of publication with guidance from dedicated supervisors and lecturers.
What Happened
The retreat brought together Honours students for intensive research development and mentorship. Over the two days, participants refined their research topics, improved methodology sections, and received direct feedback from academics.
The event also encouraged collaboration and peer learning, with students supporting each other through the final stages of their research process.

One of the participants, Nelisiwe Faku, described the retreat as both productive and insightful.
“The trip was fruitful and helped us, as Honours students, to understand how to finalize our research projects effectively,” she said.
