In a powerful show of solidarity and compassion, Ashraful Aid International Humanitarian Organisation has donated blankets, warm clothing, and hot food packs to disaster-stricken communities in the Eastern Cape.
The supplies were officially received by the Alfred Nzo District Municipality, and distributed to vulnerable families in uMzimvubu and Ntabankulu Local Municipalities—areas hardest hit by recent natural disasters that left several dead and thousands displaced.
According to the latest disaster management reports, 467 households in the Alfred Nzo District remain homeless, as local authorities continue their assessments and relief coordination in surrounding areas.
This initiative is part of Ashraful Aid’s ongoing mission to respond to humanitarian crises across the globe. The organisation—renowned for its quick emergency response—has supported victims of floods in KwaZulu-Natal, droughts, and other major events that impacted over 100,000 people in the past year alone.
“We aim to bring dignity, warmth, and hope to people in crisis,” a representative from Ashraful Aid said. “Whether it’s food, shelter, or clothing, every act of kindness counts in the journey toward recovery.”
The donation is expected to ease the burden on affected families and support government and NGO-led recovery efforts currently underway.
