exercise VUKUHLOME IV at the SA Army Combat Training Centre roared to life with the Rugby Invitational, a thrilling showdown between 43 SA Brigade Headquarters and the 3 SA Infantry Battalion Military Skills Development System (MSDS) 2025 team at Lohatla. On 03 November 2025, the match celebrated sportsmanship, unity, and the indomitable spirit of the South African Army.
What Happened?
The Rugby Invitational illustrated the grand finale of the Army Games, bringing together soldiers, commanders, and supporters for a high-energy conclusion to Exercise VUKUHLOME IV. Both teams delivered a powerful display of physicality and teamwork, reflecting the Army’s deep-rooted culture of discipline and endurance.
The crowd erupted in song as “Impi”, the iconic South African war anthem, echoed through the training grounds. The song’s rhythm and lyrics stirred pride and camaraderie, mirroring the determination on the field.
