Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu passed away at the age of 90 at his home in Cape Town on Sunday morning.

He has been described by many as a Social Justice Champion and a pioneer of human rights, he was brave through out because he confronted injustices of South Africans regardless of the predicaments he might have been faced with.

Tributes have be pouring out from South Africans and other world/African leaders such as, Former South African president Rhalima Motlante, Jouh Kani, Uhuru Kenyatta, Barack Obama.

“A universal spirit, Archbishop Tutu was grounded in the struggle for liberation and justice in his own country, but also concerned with injustice everywhere,”

Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta said Tutu’s passing was “a big blow” not only to South Africa but to the entire African continent.

“Archbishop Tutu inspired a generation of African leaders who embraced his non-violent approaches in the liberation struggle,” he said.
