Alfred Nzo District Municipality’s Municipal Health Services held an in-house training session on 5 November 2025 at the Maggie Tsiu-Resha Building in Matatiele. The programme brought together district officials, councillors, and partners from Mpumalanga to strengthen knowledge-sharing and improve service delivery.
What Happened
The training focused on building stronger Health Services capacity across Alfred Nzo. A key feature of the session was a presentation by Ms Thato Letlape, an Environmental Health Practitioner from eNtlanzeni District Municipality in Mpumalanga. She demonstrated innovative technological tools that can improve the implementation and monitoring of local health strategies.
Councillors and senior officers engaged actively throughout the session, noting the importance of learning from other districts to improve community outcomes.
Official Response
The CDS Standing Committee, led by Councillor Eunice Diko, welcomed the collaborative effort. “This kind of shared learning helps us strengthen our systems and build partnerships that truly benefit our communities,” Diko said.
Officials also emphasised the need for continuous improvement as health demands evolve.
