The Alfred Nzo Development Agency (ANDA) has officially introduced its new leadership team, hosting both its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and a dedicated induction session for CEO Mr. Lumko Mtimde and board members Mr. Gordon Gcinikhaya Mpumza and Mr. Zamile Qunya.
The induction aimed to ensure that the new CEO and board are aligned with ANDA’s mission and well-equipped to drive its strategic objectives. Cllr. Banele Qwayede, Acting Executive Mayor, outlined the shareholder’s vision for the agency.
The District Municipality expects a strong focus on job-creating projects, rural development, and transparent corporate governance,” said Cllr. Qwayede. “We want to see high-impact results that align with our Integrated Development Plan (IDP).”
She encouraged the new leadership to build a culture of accountability and performance within ANDA.
We need a high-performance, results-driven agency that delivers for our communities,” she added.
The session was attended by Matatiele Mayor Cllr. Patrick Stuurman, Cllr. Xoliswa Jona, Portfolio Head for LED in Umzimvubu Local Municipality, as well as representatives from the Auditor-General South Africa, Provincial Treasury, DEDEAT, ECRDA, ECSECC, and SALGA.
The AGM with the Alfred Nzo District Municipality (ANDM), ANDA’s sole shareholder, reinforced the importance of transparency, accountability, and board-level oversight in shaping the agency’s development agenda.
