Zakes Bantwini and Nomcebo win their first Grammy Awards

The Best Global Music Performance trophy for “Bayethe” was presented to Wouter Kellerman, Zakes Bantwini, and Nomcebo Zikode during the 65th Annual Grammy Awards’ opening ceremony in Los Angeles.

In the wee hours of Monday in Los Angeles, California, Zakes, flautist Wouter Kellerma and singer Nomcebo Zikode took home the Best Global Music Performance Grammy for their song Bayethe.

“Thank you, so much. This is such a beautiful moment on the road to sharing South African music and culture with the world. Thank you Nomcebo, thank you Zakes for the incredible creativity.” Wouter Kellerman’s acceptance speech

For the kid in the ghetto just know it is possible said Zakes Bantwini in his acceptance speech and Nomcebo Zikode shared in her acceptance speech as well how she thought Jerusalema would bag her an award but never did, now she thanks God for bayethe.
