ANCYL Alfred Nzo Region has learnt about the deployment of Sixolile Mehlomakhulu by the ANC PEC as the Council Speaker of Alfred Nzo District Municipality.
The PEC is well aware that Mehlomakhulu is attending a court case of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm against his own family said the ANCYL member.
“GBV remains a serious offence in our society and we challenge the PEC of the ANC in Eastern Cape to either stand with the victims or with their disgraced fellow PEC member.” said the ANCYL member.
They said, they reject the deployment of a person who has been found to have abused his powers to benefit his family to oversee the work of the Council.
The ANCYL will utilise all available avenues including mobilising society to reject this unfortunate unfolding of events faced by the people of Alfred Nzo said the ANCYL member.
