Amatola Water opened Day 1 of the WISA Young Water Professionals Conference in Gqeberha on 25 November 2025. The three-day event at the Boardwalk Hotel brings together emerging engineers, researchers, and practitioners from across the water sector.

In addition, the programme encourages collaboration among early-career specialists and senior experts. Delegates explore new technologies, policy shifts, and practical tools that can strengthen water management in the Eastern Cape and beyond.

Amatola Water confirmed its strong support for youth development in the sector. Representatives engaged in technical sessions, panel discussions, and mentorship dialogues.
“Our young professionals carry the future of water security,” an Amatola Water representative said. “Their ideas and energy will shape how we respond to climate pressure, aging infrastructure, and rising demand.”
