What Happened
The commemorative programme begins on 26 September 2025 with an imbizo of Mpondo traditional leaders at Ndimakude Great Place Community Hall. The imbizo will be presided over by King Zanozuko’s son and successor, King Silosohlanga KaDakhile Sigcau, continuing the legacy of leadership.
King Zanozuko Sigcau, officially gazetted as King of the amaMpondo in 2018 following the ruling of the Nhlapho Commission, passed away on 30 May 2022. He was laid to rest on 22 June 2022 at Ndimakude Great Place.
