Local rapper Momelezi Tshezi better known as “MoralMeez” who recently released his single All That Matters, a comforting song for those going through a rough patch. He started his musical journey back in 2014 when he started writing his own songs and started recording in 2015. Due to schooling and the challenges he was facing at the time he had to put a pause on music. In 2019 he resumed where he left and started to learn how to produce his own music.
“I am a rapid growing producer with deep interest and ambitions to grow young artists into great experienced artists “invest on the kids” phrase matters the most since I believe young artists have a great pure vision of what they are dreaming of as future artists,” he says.
The song ALL THAT MATTERS was an escape from times of misery it helped him from his stressful times hence he decided to give it out to the streets to those who are going through what he went through and be cured.
“To be honest the song was never planned or set to be composed, I was going through some depressing moments ran straight to gospel as I used to do when facing difficulties then this amazing song fixate on my brain sang it a couple of hours until I decided to capture the moment, I was impressed and cured hence I decided to release it as a medication to whosever experiencing difficult times,” he explains grinning.
He adds that many challenges come his way as an artist which includes competition from fellow musical feuds, lack of unity, and betrayals. Lack of support (sponsorships) from local authorities and governing bodies to boost local talents but either way he aims to head forward through it all but not for him only and for those who are head over heels with art.
When asked if is there a link between ethics and music he said: “ what you pour out on the mic is what you as an artist experienced either happened to you or someone else, so ethics links with music as one share their thoughts or point of view to that certain issue they write about.”
