Municipal health practitioners conducted fresh inspections, seizing expired products and reminding businesses to uphold strict food safety standards to protect public health.
What Happened
Building on the success of the previous day’s operation, municipal health inspectors revisited several shops in Matatiele to assess compliance with food safety laws. Expired food products were identified and immediately removed from shelves to prevent potential health hazards.
Officials emphasised that this ongoing initiative aims to safeguard residents’ well-being and ensure that all food sold within the municipality meets regulatory standards.
