The Alfred Nzo District Municipality is hosting a two-day Municipal Public Account Committee (MPAC) training at the Wild Coast Sun in Winnie Madikizela Mandela Local Municipality. Cllr. Sandie Sello, Chairperson of the MPAC, is leading the proceedings.
This training aims to enhance oversight and accountability within municipalities, ensuring good governance and clearly defined relationships between the executive and MPAC. The committee is responsible for exercising oversight over executive structures and senior management.
Attendees include representatives from local municipalities within the district, the South African Local Government Association (SALGA), the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA), and the Provincial Treasury.
