Alfred Nzo District Municipality Hosts Council Strategic Planning Session

The Alfred Nzo District Municipality has commenced its Council Strategic Planning Session, a crucial gathering aimed at ensuring the Municipality meets its priorities and goals while holding itself accountable to the communities it serves.

This session serves as a platform for Council members to set the strategic direction of the Municipality, address existing challenges, and explore both short, medium, and long-term solutions. The ultimate goal is to align municipal programs effectively and ensure that the aspirations of developmental local government are realized within the broader policy framework.

The meeting brings together key stakeholders, including Members of the Mayoral Committee, Troika plus one representatives from all Local Municipalities, the Alfred Nzo Development Agency, and various government entities such as:

  • uMngeni-uThukela Water
  • Department of Water & Sanitation
  • Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA)
  • Municipal Infrastructure Support Agency (MISA)
  • Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Land Reform

These stakeholders will collaborate to develop effective strategies and tactics that will enhance service delivery, promote sustainable infrastructure development, and improve governance within the Alfred Nzo District Municipality.
