The Alfred Nzo District Municipality has stepped up its efforts to support local farming communities with the successful hosting of a farmer engagement session on Friday, 22 August 2025.

The meeting brought together 24 farmers who are part of the Agri-Park Programme for the 2025/26 season. The initiative is designed to provide farmers with production inputs, access to mechanization, and essential skills training to boost agricultural output across the district.

During the session, the municipality outlined its detailed plans for the new season, which include distributing inputs, expanding mechanization support, and rolling out targeted capacity-building programmes. Farmers were also introduced to the Project Implementation Plans (PIP), a roadmap for delivering on the programme’s objectives.

The Agri-Park Programme plays a central role in modernizing agriculture in Alfred Nzo. By equipping farmers with resources and connecting them to markets, the initiative aims to ensure sustainable farming practices while creating jobs, driving economic growth, and improving food security.

Municipality officials reaffirmed their commitment to working hand-in-hand with farmers, stakeholders, and service providers to guarantee the long-term sustainability and impact of the programme.
