The Alfred Nzo District Municipality has officially reinstated Mr Zamile Sikhundla as its Municipal Manager. The decision was made during the 6th Special Council Meeting held on 21 October 2025 at the Council Chambers in eMaXesibeni.
According to the municipality, the reinstatement aims to promote institutional stability and improve service delivery across the district.
New Appointments and Changes
Council also confirmed several leadership adjustments:
- Mr Simvumile Mambafula appointed as Director: Corporate Services.
- Mr Siyabonga Quzu’s acting role as Director ended.
- Mr Nelisile Xolo, Director of Strategic Governance, resigned to pursue other opportunities.
A recruitment process for the vacant Strategic Governance position has already begun, following municipal policy and legislative procedures.
Official Response
Council expressed gratitude to Mr Xolo for his “dedicated service and sterling contribution” to governance and community development in the Alfred Nzo District.
“His professionalism and commitment to good governance left a lasting impact,” the statement read.
