What Happened
Severe snowfall left parts of the Greater Kokstad Municipality isolated, with families in Ward 6 and Ward 2 hardest hit. In response, coordinated relief efforts were mobilised to bring immediate aid, including blankets, food parcels, and emergency supplies.
The intervention was led by the Harry Gwala District Disaster Management Unit, supported by Red Cross and Eskom, whose logistical and material contributions ensured timely delivery to affected households.
