It is reported that the South African Police Services detectives are searching for murder suspects who shot and killed a 36-year-old nurse in hospital premises on Christmas day in Ngcwanguba Administrative Area in Kwaaiman.
Reports suggest that two unknown suspects had arrived at the hospital ward pretending to be visiting a patient who was allegedly admitted at the hospital.
It is further alleged that they said the deceased who is a nurse knew the patient they were looking for. Whilst busy enquiring on the whereabouts of the nurse whom they said had knowledge of the patient they were looking for, they spotted her walking in the passages of the ward and immediately grabbed her out of the ward. The suspects starting firing gunshots at her in the veranda of the ward. The deceased died on the scene.
Police were alerted of the incident and a case of murder was opened. The motive for the shooting is currently under investigation. No arrested have been made at this stage as investigation continues.
