Lusikisiki-born entrepreneur Sinovuyo Bandezi(27), decided to come up with her natural, raw, and unfragranced products after she was struggling with most products. “A few years I noticed that a lot of products were not good for me, they gave me rash and itch. I needed to accommodate people with sensitive skin as a lot of products do not,” she explains. She adds that she believes that if your skin looks good then you will feel good.

Vuyo Cosmetics offers soaps, facial oils, and raw shea butter. All products are not fragranced and suitable for all genders and skin types. Starting out has its challenges but that does not mean we should give up, one of her biggest challenges is marketing, as she previously paid little attention to media marketing until she realized that it is one of the most effective ways to grow your business.

Her plans and aspiration for her products are to introduce more products such as body or face scrubs and she is also working on shelves in stores so that people can easily access them. Getting positive feedback about her products from people who suffered from skin conditions and that they found their answers through her products is what gives her the most satisfaction about being an entrepreneur.

When asked how she deals with criticism or negative feedback she said:

I always ensure that I pay attention to that customer and consider their complaint so they can be happy next time when they buy from me.

Sinovuyo’s bright vision for her future is not dimming as the young entrepreneur and professional Social Worker takes her products to new and impressive heights.
