Lilitha Nursing College

According to a media statement issued by the Department of Health’s Lilitha Nursing College, the department has issued a recruitment advert targeting those interested to study towards Nursing for 2023 intake.

The Lilitha Nursing College has been on a hiatus and this was due to the National South African Nursing Council (SANC) and South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) accreditation processes when introducing new qualifications.

The Lilitha College is advertising for the Three-Year Diploma in Nursing whilst awaiting finalization of the accreditation processes by SAQA for One-Year Higher Certificate in Nursing.

It has been reported that the Diploma will be provided in the College’s five main campuses around the Eastern Cape province- East London, Komani, Mthatha, Lusikisiki and Gqeberha.

The department further sets the record straight that only adverts published through the official Department of Health social media platforms (Website and Facebook) including adverts in mainstream media should be deemed official and legitimate.

The age limit for the Three-Year Diploma is 45 years for external candidates with matriculation as an entrance requirement and 55-years for those currently in the department’s employment. Further details on the requirements are available on the Department of Health’s official social media platforms.
