The Risk, Anti-Corruption and Integrity Management (RAIM) Unit is rolling out awareness sessions ahead of International Anti-Corruption Day on 9 December 2025. The sessions form part of the build-up programme themed: “Uphold and advance a public service that is ethical, accountable, transparent, and committed to integrity.”
What Happened
On 02 December 2025, the RAIM Unit facilitated workshops with officials in the Alfred Nzo District. The workshops brought together teams from Supply Chain Management, Finance, Corporate Services, EPWP, Buildings and Depots. Officials received training on ethics, accountability and the importance of clean governance. The RAIM Unit also distributed awareness materials to all users across the district.
Organisers said the sessions aim to strengthen internal controls and improve compliance. They also want to ensure that public servants maintain integrity in all operations.
Why It Matters
The awareness drive is part of government’s broader effort to combat corruption. The RAIM Unit noted that early engagement helps prevent misconduct and promotes ethical decision-making. The build-up programme will continue across districts until the national commemoration on 9 December.
