The Sabelo Mgotywa Foundation Tournament 2025 is set to take place from 26 to 29 December in Chibini Village, Ntabankulu, under the Alfred Nzo Municipality. 2025 edition promises more than just sport, it’s a community movement dedicated to fighting drug abuse, empowering youth, and promoting unity across the region.

The annual tournament, organized by the Sabelo Mgotywa Foundation, has grown into one of the Eastern Cape’s most inspiring festive sporting events. With the official poster release from 20 October 2025, dozens of teams immediately registered to take part, signaling widespread excitement.
The 2025 edition will feature:
- 16 Soccer Masters Teams
- 32 Senior Soccer Teams
- 16 Netball Teams
The games will unfold over four days of competition, camaraderie, and community celebration. Organizers confirmed that this year’s focus goes beyond trophies—it’s about building a drug-free, hopeful future for the youth of Ntabankulu and beyond.

Local leaders from the Alfred Nzo District Municipality have expressed strong support for the tournament. They praised the Foundation’s commitment to youth empowerment and social change through sport.
“The Sabelo Mgotywa Foundation is doing what government alone cannot—creating safe spaces where young people can grow, learn, and dream,” said a municipal official.
