On 18 October 2025, Her Worship the Mayor, T.D. Mafumbatha, joined learners from various schools in Bizana at the Multi-Purpose Youth Centre for an Exam Prayer Session hosted by Arise and Shine Ministries. The gathering sought to uplift, motivate, and spiritually prepare learners ahead of their final examinations.
What Happened
The event brought together learners, teachers, and parents under one roof to seek divine guidance for the upcoming exams. Mr. Dumela, representing the Alfred Nzo East Education District, urged learners to believe in their potential and study with discipline and determination. “Phakamani nikhanye because the value of what you are carrying is different from others. Focus, study hard, and trust in God. You are 100 percent capable,” said Mr. Dumela.
Guest Speaker Abongile Mangala echoed this message, calling on learners to remain prayerful and consistent in their studies. Arise and Shine Ministries further demonstrated community care by donating sanitary towels and exam packs.
Official Response
Mayor Mafumbatha praised the efforts of educators and parents while reminding learners that success now depends on their own commitment.
“Bantwana bam, we believe in your potential and are confident that you will make us proud. Approach your exams with faith, focus, and confidence knowing that victory is already yours,” she said.
She commended Arise and Shine Ministries for uniting the community through faith and support for education.
