A 32-year-old man from Bizana, Phiko Buthelezi is living in fear for his life following rumours on social media that he is trafficking people in Bizana and surrounding areas. There are a post making rounds on social media with a picture of Buthelezi’s car, warning people about Buthelizi’s alleged wrongdoings.
According to reports, no one has opened a case of hijacking or drug dealing against Buthelezi.
“This is defamation of character, I don’t know why this person is spreading such lies about me”, says Buthelezi. Adding that he has stopped driving his car because he is scared of what people might do to him.
Buthelezi says he tried opening a case at the Bizana police station but couldn’t because more than 500 people have shared the original.
