Korea Culture Centre in partnership with the South African Royal Princesses Network will on 20 May 2022, 10H00 at the Korean Cultural Centre, Pretoria host the inaugural culture exchange event, themed;
“connecting cultures through cultural exchange”.
Exchanges in cultures are key to learning about diversity, promotion of culture, cultural diplomacy, building friendships and contribute to the culture economy and tourism.
This event will showcase diverse cultures including Korean, Mpondo, Rharhabe, Pedi, Ndebele, Swati, Zulu, Indian, Tswana. Royalty from various parts of South Africa including the members of the South African Royal Princesses Network from Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West, Eastern Cape, Free State, Gauteng, KwaZulu Natal will present on their diverse cultures to share and exchange.
Speakers will include Mr Chun who is the Director of the Centre, Mr Kirtan Bhana the CEO of the Diplomatic Society, Mpondo Princess Stella Sigcau II who is the founder of the South African Royal Princesses Network, Ms Mahlangu from the Department of Arts and Culture in Mpumalanga, and Ms Jane Mufumadi, CEO of Freedom Park who will be delivering a message of support. The program will include sharing on food, music, clothing, cultural performances, cultural videos and presentations on heritage. In attendance will also be the members of the Diplomatic corps.
