The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) has officially declared August 27 as Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi Day, in honour of the Party’s late founder and respected statesman. The announcement was made by IFP President, Honourable Velenkosini Hlabisa, during a large gathering of community members and party supporters in KwaCeza.
The event also featured a special house handover to IFP member Nkosinathi Zulu from the Qhibukhowe area, who suffered injuries in a bus accident while travelling to the Party’s Election Manifesto Launch at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium.
In a further show of support to the local community, more than 250 food parcels were distributed to elderly residents and child-headed households, demonstrating the Party’s commitment to service and care for vulnerable citizens.
Honourable Hlabisa emphasized the importance of remembering Prince Buthelezi’s legacy, stating that his dedication to resilience, service, and integrity continues to inspire the Party and its supporters.
