The Eastern Amathole Agriculture and Food Trade Fair 2025 kicked off in style at the Xhora Indoor Sport Centre, with traders and producers from the Mbhashe Local Municipality proudly showcasing a wide range of agricultural and food products.
The event opened with a welcome message from Mbhashe Executive Mayor, Councillor Janda, who encouraged the community to support local enterprises and celebrate the region’s farming achievements.
The trade fair serves as a key marketing platform, giving traders and produces an opportunity to display their goods to potential buyers while also accessing business support packages. Among the buyers in attendance are Eyoluntu Market Agent, Protea Spar, Boxer, Shoprite Elliotdale and Spar Elliotdale, offering promising opportunities for local suppliers.
