King Sabata Dalindyebo (KSD) TVET College has officially opened its 2025 Council Strategic Planning session, taking place from 22 to 23 August at the East London International Convention Centre.
The gathering signals a decisive move by the College to sharpen its role in South Africa’s changing post-school education and training sector. Council members and internal leaders are using the two-day platform to align institutional goals with national development priorities and to reinforce the College’s focus on transformation.
In his keynote address, Council Chairperson Mr. Tinta stressed the importance of aligning strategy with the country’s growth needs. He said the plan seeks to close critical skills gaps, support high-growth industries, strengthen ties with both government and private stakeholders, and boost graduate readiness for the job market and entrepreneurship.
“Our focus is to implement programmes that not only respond to industry demand but also contribute to socio-economic development,” Tinta noted.
KSD TVET College has reaffirmed its mission to equip students with relevant, market-ready skills through quality teaching, training, and innovation. The Council Strategic Planning is expected to chart a clear path for the College’s role in producing graduates who can drive development and growth across the region.
