Kaizer Chiefs collected three points with a narrow victory over Richards Bay in their Betway Premiership clash on Tuesday.
The Amakhosi started brightly, dominating possession and creating chances in the opening stages. Their persistence was rewarded midway through the first half when they found the breakthrough, sending their supporters into celebration.

Richards Bay fought back strongly after the break, testing the Chiefs’ defence and forcing several saves. Despite their pressure, the KwaZulu-Natal side could not convert opportunities into goals. Chiefs remained organised at the back and managed the game well in the closing minutes to secure the win.
The result gives Kaizer Chiefs an early boost in the Premiership standings as they look for consistency this season. Richards Bay, meanwhile, will take positives from their performance but will need sharper finishing to climb the table.
