The King Sabata Dalindyebo (KSD) Municipality has launched the construction of a 2.1 km access road in Mdlangathi, Ward 34 Komkhulu, Mpolompa, with a focus on job creation and community empowerment.

Road Construction Officially Handed Over

KSD Executive Mayor, Cllr G.N. Nelani, presided over the handover of the Mdlangathi access road project. The construction is assigned to Sizakancane Trading and is expected to take four months to complete.

The project will employ 12 individuals, prioritising youth, women, and people living with disabilities.

Community Empowerment Through Sewing Machines

Beyond the road project, the municipality surprised residents with a donation of sewing machines. The initiative aims to provide opportunities for home-based work and skills development, enabling community members to engage in productive handwork while infrastructure development continues.
