Police have confirmed that the suspects charged with the murder of popular musician DJ Sumbody have now been positively linked to the killings of DJ Vintos and Don Tindleni.
The confirmation came during a Gauteng court appearance on Tuesday, 29 July 2025. According to police investigators, forensic evidence and ballistic reports tie the accused, including Molefe and his co-accused, to the murders.
DJ Vintos and Don Tindleni were killed in separate incidents that rocked the local music industry. Police believe the same syndicate may have orchestrated all three attacks.
“Linking the suspects to the additional murders strengthens our case. We believe the same firearms were used,” said a police spokesperson.
The accused remain in custody as the investigation expands. Authorities have not ruled out further charges.
The murder of DJ Sumbody in 2022 made headlines across South Africa, prompting a wide-reaching investigation. The fresh revelations have reignited calls for tougher action against organised crime in the entertainment industry.
