The African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) is set to host a powerful June 16 Commemoration Rally in Emaxesibeni, with ANCYL President Cde Collen Malatji delivering the keynote address.
Organised by the ANCYL Eastern Cape Provincial Committee under the leadership of Provincial Chairperson Vuyo Jali and Provincial Secretary Francisco Dyantyi, the rally will take place at the Emaxesibeni Multi-Purpose Centre in the Alfred Nzo Region. The event begins at 11:00 AM.
The rally aims to pay tribute to the heroic youth of 1976 who rose against apartheid oppression, while also reaffirming the Youth League’s commitment to the socio-economic and political struggles facing today’s generation.
Under the banner of “Economic Freedom & Social Change Now, Not Later!”, the gathering is expected to draw hundreds of young activists and ANC supporters from across the province.
“All members and supporters are encouraged to attend,” said the ANCYL in a statement issued this week, calling for unity, remembrance, and action.
The rally comes at a critical moment in the youth development agenda, with the ANC Youth League continuing to advocate for education access, job creation, and empowerment programs.
