It was a weekend of many famous derbies worldwide with the famous Soweto Derby on Saturday afternoon on the same day as the famous Manchester United derby but it was here at home where we experienced the most entertaining derby when Sinenkani FC were pitted against their neighbours, Thohoyandou FC in a battle of pride. Former ABC Motsepe League champions, Bizana Pondo Chiefs were back in action against Bush Bucks FC while Spears of The Nation also made it back on the dugout after ten days break due to not have any fixtures the previous weekend.

Amavarara FC 0 – 1 Spears of The Nation FC
Sixth positioned Spears of the Nation FC were on the road this past weekend after enjoying a mini break due to not having a game the previous weekend. The Blue Nation didn’t have the desirable start to their campaign after playing out to a draw in the Bizana Derby against Bizana Pondo Chiefs and were certainly looking to bounce back to winning ways. A solitary strike from Ngcebo Nala was enough to steal a victory for the away side as they managed to hold on until the end of the game.
Bizana Pondo Chiefs 1 – 0 Bush Bucks FC
The Lions of Skoomplas welcomed Imbabala at home on this past weekend looking for much needed points as the hunters failed to assert themselves in their opening games in of the armature division after being relegated from the Glad Africa Championship this past season. The former ABC Motsepe League champions had a rather stale start to the season after playing out to a dull draw in the Bizana Derby and then drop more points against Highbury FC in the fixture that followed. The Hunters are currently third on the log standing after taking home full three points against a stubborn pray in Bush Bucks FC.
