Babalwa Madikizela is a founder of La Babes fragrances, she says she has been able to build and expand her business after Pondoland Times wrote an article about La Babes fragrances, Babalwa says she received several calls from people placing orders in huge numbers and some place orders to resell the fragrances.

Since 2021 La Babes fragrances has significantly grown without receiving any funding because people have been supportive and have shown great interest to the product. she has since received training from SEDA that will certify her to be able to train other people who are interested in manufacturing their own perfumes and cleaning detergents.

Babalwa says the business has grown so much that they now offer venue-based training for individuals who are interested in manufacturing their own perfumes and cleaning detergents. She also hopes she attracts bigger and more consistent clients like schools, hospitals, B&Bs and Mortuaries.
